1 SAMUEL 9-18
RIVERS IN THE DESERT

Sometimes God's greatest miracles happen in the places we least want to be. Hannah's story reminds us that breakthrough often requires us to stay in the uncomfortable desert seasons rather than running from them.

Three powerful choices Hannah made that changed everything:

She showed up. Even when it meant facing ridicule and pain, she put herself in the room. She didn't hide at home or pull away from God's presence.

She prayed. Year after year, with no visible answers, she chose prayer as her weapon. Not distraction, not busyness, not giving up - just persistent, faithful prayer.

She surrendered instead of blamed. Hannah had every reason to be angry with God, yet she ran toward Him with her pain, not away from Him. Her prayer shifted from "God give me" to "God use me."

The beautiful truth is that Hannah wanted a baby, but God wanted a prophet. When she surrendered her desires to Him, they aligned with God's redemptive plan for an entire nation.

What if your unanswered prayer isn't about you getting something small, but about God doing something nation-sized through your faithfulness in the waiting?

Your desert season might be exactly where God wants to show you rivers of living water. Don't run from it. Show up. Pray. Surrender. Trust the Lord of Hosts with your brokenness.

He's not punishing you in the desert. He's preparing you for the miracle.
